Had a little too much fun on the basketball/handball courts. I was going thru my closet and pulled out what has to be the largest and probably warmest coat I have. Decided to layer it over this sick jacket recently picked up from 7 For All Mankind, I love how it's just not your traditional denim jacket. yet I still found a way to wear it as if it were. That what I always do when I'm not sure how to pair an item with another...I always say to myself..."okay well how would I wear this traditionally"? And then I just do it and stop thinking.

Spent a windy day strolling up and down the East side river by my place in some new 7FAM jeans, I've been really into brocade recently, I find myself picking this pattern over any other. Regular skinnies are nice, but Its' rad when they have that cool touch to em. Obviously layered the pants under an overly exaggerated blouse from Otte and a suede jacket I found at a thrift store on Long Island for 2 bucks.

Thanksgiving

Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving week/end. One of my favorite things about the holiday is being able to spend them with friends and family. This year I cooked Thanksgiving dinner on my own. Justin made cornbread and Bonnie crafted up some delicious homemade pumpkin & apple pie. Simply delicious! I spent a long time online looking for the best turkey recipe, my mother had given me some tips via skype which helped out a lot though ! I ended up going with this recipe. It was my first time making basically everything homemade from candied yams to mashed potatoes to cornbread stuffing. At the end of the night we went around the table and decided to say what we were thankful for, obviously no one knows how to be serious  and my dad kept cracking jokes. All in all...It was a good night.

{ Bali } Little piece of heaven

Spent a couple days in Bali after  being in Jakarta. One of the main things I wanted to do was see the enchanted monkey forest. These little monkeys seem all sweet but if you leave sunglasses on your head be sure to never see those sunnies again! Haha. One of the little baby ones started pulling on my dress, best experience ever!

Every morning I would set my alarm extra early so I could go to the beach and relax which would follow up with Christina and me hanging out by the pool talking about the stupidest topics. We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel in front of Kuta beach with Fitrie, a really cool friend we made while in Jakarta, Never been to a hotel this cool before!  Fitrie showed us around Bali, she is literally always coming here it's just an hour plane ride away from Jakarta...I mean I would too.

I'm obsessed with Ebay. I can find pretty much any and everything on there. I remember when I first moved into my apt I was on ebay every day shopping from anything to candle holders to couches haha.   I had no idea they had a fantastic fashion side to them as well. I always thought it was primarily outbidding someone else (a favorite hobby of mine). Since it's the holidays I find myself online shopping way more that normal. I picked out this Tibi top from ebay's Holiday Collective limited edition items,  I was hoping that I would be able to bring it with me while I was in Indonesia but I happily came home to a pretty little box just the other day.

Wore this outfit yesterday morning while I was Thanksgiving shopping. this is the first year I'm doing Thanksgiving at my apartment with my friends. My mom is in Paris with Pierce so I'll just have my dad and Philip Charles over accompanied by Justin and Bonnie obviously (duh). I just got off Skype with my mom, she has no faith in me cooking a turkey by myself "just order one Christina it's easy, Grandma does it" yeah...okay I can see you think  I'm gonna ruin Thanksgiving for everyone haha. I got this under control....maybe?...okay i'm scared now.

Layers under coats is something I can proudly say I've been doing for probably ever. This faux fur Cynthia Vincent vest is another perfect statement piece ever girl should have in their possession. Every time I'm getting dressed I always pull it out to just layer on top of whatever i'm wearing. Yeah sometimes I look a little crazy, but in a nice soft crazy.

I came home from Indonesia and met my newest housemate, Eleanor the sweetest kitty I have ever laid eyes on. She is pretty much the only reason I ever want to come home early and the only reason i want to wake up that extra half an hour.
